Hand-knotted Persian rug from Moud. The city of Moud is located south of the city of Mashad in northeastern Iran. Carpets from this area are known for their high-quality weave and high resistance of the meat piece to alpine wool. This carpet has a typical motif of a central medallion in the central field with a herat pattern (an endless, repeating pattern). The color of the carpet is also classic for carpets from Moud, where the base is cream in combination with blue. The carpet is in good condition with no worn spots, it is cleaned, the fringes are also in order. The bond density is higher and reaches approximately 250,000 knots per m2. On the back is the original certificate from a carpet shop in Ostend, Belgium. Date: around 1990.
